Hi, I’m Brian! I am originally from the Bay Area but have been in Southern California for over 15 years. Making is in my blood – my dad and grandfather were both boat builders and from the time i could walk i was in a wood and metal shop.

I channelled that creative talent into coding and have been lucky to make a long career in both consumer and enterprise software. On that front i have a diverse background spanning geospatial, NLP, digital marketing and advertising – with lots of startup experience along the way. I currently work for Google…

But on the side I am constantly learning in my shop. I love and apply technology to every aspect of my life and the shop is no exception. I am in the process of adopting CAD/CAM tools like CNCs and laser cutters in my workflows. As an example we are currently in the process of bootstrapping a vintage skateboarding and surfing product line under the CrookCraft and Tahiti brands.
